Lionheart trains specialises in developing an expanding range of high quality ready-to-run model railway locomotives and rolling stock for the '0' gauge enthusiast.
The locomotives are offered in analogue DC mode, however a small number are factory fitted for DCC operation, including a top quality motor and sound decoder, hi-bass speaker(s) and LED's for firebox flicker.
All products are designed by Lionheart trains from original works drawings to a very high specification, taking advantage of modern materials and processes, using metal where possible with plastic for representing fine details. The chassis of the locomotives incorporate equalising beams providing live bearing electrical pick-up. A separately mounted totally enclosed gearbox, complete with thrust bearings is utilised, enabling the motor to provide power more efficiently.
Rolling stock items are also manufactured to include equalising/compensation beams for improved performance and are fully detailed.
Sprung metal buffers and metal wheels are standard on all products.
Each model is detailed as closely as possible to the time period chosen, and fully decorated accordingly.
All products operate 'out of the box' and to ensure fine performance and consistent quality, strict quality control is employed at various stages of production.
